The missing student has been identified as Manisha Nath Sharma, 17, a resident of Purba Mekhal. According to her family, she went missing at around 9pm on August 1 and has not been located since.
The family has lodged a general diary with Hathazari Police Station and alleged that a particular young man may be connected to her disappearance.
