24 September, 2026 – Narail: A 15-year-old Hindu girl, Rupa Das, has been missing for nine days in Narail. On Tuesday (September 22) morning, her elder brother, Sabuj Das, staged a protest at the Narail court premises, blindfolding himself with a black cloth and demanding the immediate rescue of his sister.
During the protest, Sabuj held a photograph of his missing sister along with placards carrying various demands. With his eyes covered, he called for Rupa to be found and returned to her family as soon as possible.
According to the family, Rupa Das went missing on September 13, 2026 while returning home from school. Her brother, Sabuj Das, later alleged that she had been abducted. Rupa is a resident of Boramara village under Maijpara Union and is a tenth-grade student at a local school.
Since Rupa went missing, her family members have been living in fear and anxiety. With nine days having passed without any information about her whereabouts, her relatives have demanded that she be located and safely returned to her family as soon as possible.
Through the protest at the court premises, Sabuj Das called on the relevant authorities to take immediate and effective steps to locate and rescue his sister.
Rupa Das’s current whereabouts and the circumstances behind her disappearance have not yet been confirmed. Her family has called for an investigation and the immediate rescue of the missing teenager.
