Police have arrested two suspects, including a woman, in connection with the incident.

The deceased was the son of Shusen Shil and a resident of Shalmara Madhyapara village in Harinchara Union. His younger brother, Krishna Sharma, filed a murder case with Domar Police Station. The two arrested suspects have been sent to court, according to police.

The accused were identified as Abdur Rashid, 40, son of Mokbul Hossain of Shalmara village, and Shahnaz Begum, 29, wife of the late Ramzan Ali and a resident of Laxmipur village under Rajpara Police Station in Rajshahi district.

According to police and local sources, Shyamal Sharma and several other people had brought Shahnaz Begum from Rajshahi to Nilahati village. On Monday night, the group reportedly took her to an abandoned house in a bamboo grove in Nilahati.

An argument reportedly broke out among those present. At one point, Shyamal was allegedly beaten severely with tree branches, leaving him critically injured.

Hearing his cries, local residents rushed to the scene. They reportedly detained Abdur Rashid and Shahnaz Begum and informed the police. Shyamal was rescued and taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The incident has caused a stir in the local community. The precise circumstances that led to the confrontation and the fatal assault remain subject to investigation.

Ferdous Alam Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Domar Police Station, said an argument broke out among the people present after a woman had been brought to the location in connection with what he described as an alleged immoral activity. During the confrontation, one man was beaten and later died at the hospital.
