13 May, 2026- Moulvibazar:- Police have recovered the hanging body of a young hindu woman named Shukla Sen (24) from a residence in the Muslim Quarter area of Moulvibazar town. The deceased, Shukla Sen, worked as a receptionist at Moulvibazar Modern Eye Hospital.
On Wednesday evening (May 13), local residents noticed her hanging inside her room and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, police from Moulvibazar Model Police Station arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
Shukla Sen was the eldest daughter of Anjan Sen and Laxmi Rani Sinha from Tilokpur village in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar. Due to her job, she had been living alone on the sixth floor of the house in the Muslim Quarter area of the town.
According to police and local residents, the door to her room had remained closed for a long time, which raised suspicion among neighbors. Despite repeated calls, there was no response from inside. Later, they saw the young woman’s body hanging inside the room and informed the police.
Minority communities in the country believe that these killings are being carried out in a planned manner. Bodies of members of minority communities are being recovered regularly from different parts of the country. They claim that these incidents are increasing due to the silent role of the administration and the failure of the state to ensure proper protection and justice. At the same time, they demanded that all those involved in the killing of Shukla Sen be brought under the law immediately and given the highest possible punishment without delay.
Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Saiful Islam of Moulvibazar Model Police Station said that police recovered the body after reaching the scene. Preparations are underway to send the body to the morgue for an autopsy following the inquest report. An investigation is ongoing to determine the actual cause of death.
