A special educational awareness campaign titled “Light To Light – Continuous Educational Campaigns for Tea Garden Students” was successfully organized by UTSHOB BD FOUNDATION with the aim of inspiring tea garden students toward higher education and professional career opportunities.
The program was held on 24 May 2026 at the Madanmohanpur and Alinagar tea gardens under Kamalganj Upazila. The campaign mainly focused on creating awareness about IHT (Institute of Health Technology) and Nursing education, highlighting future career opportunities and providing practical educational guidance to students.
Many students in tea garden areas of Bangladesh still remain deprived of proper information regarding higher education and career-oriented studies. Due to financial limitations, lack of awareness, and insufficient guidance, numerous talented students often fall behind at crucial stages of their academic journey. Considering this reality, UTSHOB BD FOUNDATION launched this initiative under its “Light To Light” project to spread educational awareness, career planning, and self-confidence among tea garden students.

Throughout the day-long campaign, participants were introduced to various aspects of IHT and Nursing education. Speakers explained that the demand for skilled professionals in the healthcare sector is rapidly increasing both nationally and internationally. Completing studies in IHT or Nursing opens opportunities in government and private hospitals, diagnostic centers, clinics, and other healthcare institutions. Moreover, skilled nurses and medical technologists are highly demanded abroad, creating promising career prospects for students.

The seminar sessions also provided detailed information about admission procedures, academic preparation, course structures, scholarship opportunities, and career planning. Organizers emphasized the importance of practical and skill-based education in helping students build stable and respectable careers in the future.

The active participation of local students and youth made the campaign lively and successful. Organizers stated that the “Light To Light” project will continue to expand its activities in remote and underprivileged communities to ensure that educational opportunities reach every deserving student. Future plans include more educational seminars, career counseling sessions, mentorship programs, and awareness campaigns in tea garden regions.
The organizers expressed hope that with proper guidance and educational support, students from marginalized communities can become skilled professionals and valuable contributors to society and the nation.
Finally, sincere gratitude was expressed to all volunteers, local supporters, students, and team members of UTSHOB BD FOUNDATION for their contribution in making the educational campaign successful.
