05 November, 2026 – Jhalokathi:- Hindu families in Tarabunia village of Rajapur Upazila, Jhalokathi, have accused Mohammad Kawsar, son of Mohammad Nurul Islam, and his associates of carrying out attacks, physical assaults and knife attacks against members of their community.
According to the affected families, Kawsar and his associates had allegedly been subjecting Hindu households in the area to various forms of harassment and intimidation for a prolonged period. They also allegedly threatened to drive the families out of the country.
The families further alleged that, a few days ago, Kawsar and his associates forcibly entered their homes and carried out indiscriminate attacks on residents, including elderly people, women and children. The victims claim that the attackers assaulted multiple family members and used knives during the incident.
The affected families believe the attack was intended to force them out of their homes and displace them from the area. They have raised concerns over their safety and security.
